In a heartbreaking incident, a 25-year-old police constable named Godfred Dapaah tragically lost his life after being reportedly struck by lightning in Cape Coast while he was on a phone call with his girlfriend during a severe rainstorm.
Constable Dapaah, affectionately referred to as 'Toner' by his colleagues, was reportedly on a prolonged phone call with his girlfriend when he was fatally struck.
Eyewitnesses noted that the young officer remained calm despite the worsening rain, until a sudden lightning strike took him down instantly. Regrettably, attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
Constable Dapaah was well-respected for his commitment to his responsibilities and his amiable personality.
