Ghanaian media figure Okatakyie Afrifa has expressed a preference for former President Akufo Addo over President John Dramani Mahama regarding their levels of tolerance.
During an interview with Paul Adom Otchere on Metro TV, Afrifa articulated that he believes President Akufo Addo exhibits greater tolerance than President Mahama.
To support his claim, he noted that throughout Akufo Addo's administration, he frequently criticized both the president and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government as a whole.
He stated that he did not receive any threats or messages of discontent from Akufo Addo or any leaders of the NPP.
Okatakyie asserts that the situation is quite different with President Mahama, indicating that the reality is not as it seems regarding him.
Okatakyie Afrifa has reported that he has frequently faced threats and negative remarks from the president and the NDC leaders due to his criticisms.
The media figure recounted how the actions of the NDC government led him to resign from Angel FM.
He narrated that following his criticisms of President Mahama and his administration, the NDC contacted his former employer, Dr. Kweku Oteng, to threaten his job.
To avoid disgrace and not to be tagged as a media personality who has been sacked, Okatakyie Afrifa revealed that he had no option but to resign when the NDC won power again.
