A Nigerian priest, who is married and has children, has gained significant attention on social media.
This trending priest elicited various reactions after showcasing his lovely family, which contrasts with the Catholic tradition that mandates celibacy for priests throughout their lives.
One user inquired whether he and other priests were permitted to marry, to which he responded affirmatively. He explained that his parish operates differently, as he identifies as a Catholic priest rather than a Roman Catholic.
Another user, gabrielleamakat, commented, 'Are you allowed to marry? Is the mass the same, and how can we distinguish between the parishes? Do you attend the same seminary?' In response, he confirmed that he is indeed a Catholic priest, but not Roman Catholic.

People expect priests to be like Jesus Christ, but let me say this clearly: no one can ever truly be like Him. The Catholic Church needs to lift the ban on priests getting married. Many of them fall into repeated fornication because of this restriction. It’s time to face the truth and make necessary changes.”
